Jon Garland goes six strong

Jon Garland held the Cubs to two runs over six innings Thursday.
He allowed five hits -- including two solo homers -- while walking one and striking out three. Garland had been lit up against the Netherlands his previous time out, but he now has a 2.25 ERA over 12 Cactus League innings and is very much in the race for a starting job with the Mariners. His 4/5 K/BB ratio tells you about all you need to know, however.
