Left-hander Vidal Nuno allowed two hits over five innings as the Yankees blanked the Red Sox 4-0 on Wednesday.
Nunez was facing a lineup that didn't include any regulars, but it was another impressive outing for him, as he lowered his spring ERA to 0.68. Nunez, 25, reached Double-A last year, going 9-5 with a 2.45 ERA and a 100/27 K/BB ratio in 114 innings. He's never been viewed as a top prospect, largely because of his fringy fastball, but he's a guy who could surprise for a little while as a fifth starter if given a chance.
