Doug Fister gave up seven runs -- two earned -- in 3 2/3 innings Tuesday in a loss to the Rays.
A Prince Fielder error contributed to the carnage, though that hardly excuses the Luke Scott grand slam that followed. Fister has allowed 21 hits, walked eight and struck out 14 in 14 2/3 innings this spring. We're skeptical that he'll match last year's 3.45 ERA even with some assists from friendly official scorers.
