Casey Janssen (shoulder) is scheduled to pitch in a minor league game on Wednesday.
If all goes well, the next step could be a Grapefruit League appearance. His status for the start of the season is still up in the air, but Blue Jays coach Pete Walker has said that he would like to see Janssen throw on back-to-back days before the start of the regular season. The 31-year-old is coming off surgery in November to relieve discomfort in his AC joint. Sergio Santos, also coming off shoulder surgery, would be the favorite for early save chances if he needs more time.
