Tommy Hunter allowed an unearned run and struck out two in 2 1/3 innings of relief Sunday against the Phillies.
The Orioles have never ruled Hunter out of the rotation competition, but it seems like they've viewed him as a reliever all along. That's the way it should be; with the way his velocity jumped following the move to the pen last summer, he's a candidate to break through and turn into a fine setup man.
