Jordany Valdespin had two of the Mets' three hits, one of them a homer, and walked Sunday against the Braves.
Valdespin upped his average to .378. He certainly should have a roster spot clinched, given the struggles of the Mets' outfielders. The more interesting decision will be whether Terry Collins decides to give him a starting job in right or center. The one issue there is that he's needed at second for the moment with Daniel Murphy becoming more questionable for Opening Day.
