Erasmo Ramirez lowered his spring ERA to 1.50 in the Mariners 5-2 win over the Rockies Saturday.
Ramirez went six innings, giving up just a first inning run. He did give up eight hits and a walk but did a good job limiting damage over the course of the afternoon. The 22-year-old is locked in a battle with Jon Garland for the final spot in the rotation, but for fantasy purposes we'd like to see Ramirez emerge victorious. If he does win the job, he makes for an interesting late-round flier on draft day.
