J.J. Hardy went 0-for-3 on Thursday to drop his spring average to .056.
The good news for the Orioles offense is that Buck Showalter has soured on the idea of using Hardy as a No. 2 hitter. With his dreadful .282 OBP, he was a problem there last year. This season, he'll hit somewhere in the bottom half of the lineup, possibly seventh.
