Jerome Simpson's one-year deal with the Vikings includes a $1.35 million base salary, $500,000 signing bonus, and $250,000 workout bonus.
As venerable beat writer Tom Pelissero put it, "wow." The Vikings actually gave a raise to a completely ineffective player who was limited by a mysterious injury last year and has been an off-field headache. It speaks to the Vikings' desperate situation at receiver, and seeming lack of front-office direction.
