Pettitte labors over 3 IP in Grapefruit debut

Andy Pettitte held the Phillies to just one run despite allowing four hits and three walks over three innings in his Grapefruit League debut Wednesday.
He recorded three strikeouts in the outing. Pettitte wasn't injured, but the Yankees just decided to bring the 40-year-old along slowly this spring. He has plenty of time to get in enough innings in preparation for the start of the season.
