Albert Pujols not close to playing field
Albert Pujols - 1B - Los Angeles Angels
March 10, 2013 - 11:30 AM ET

Albert Pujols (knee) isn't expected to play first base for another two weeks.

Pujols, who is coming back from offseason knee surgery, has played two games in the DH slot and belted his first Cactus League homer Saturday. Despite what will be limited reps at first base, he's fully expected to be ready to go on Opening Day. "We have a pretty good game plan," Pujols said. "I don't want to rush this thing. I'm taking some ground balls and that's what I needed."
