Logan Forsythe has missed the last two games and is expected to be sidelined for at least the next 3-4 days due to plantar fasciitis.
"He's got a foot issue and we're going to stay away from it for three or four days," Padres manager Bud Black said. "We're having it looked at." Forsythe has a history of foot issues, as he had the sesamoid bone in the ball of his left foot surgically removed last spring and had the same bone in his right foot removed during his college days. With Forsythe out of action for a while, Jedd Gyorko will have a chance to stake claim to the second base job.
