Jacoby Ellsbury swipes first spring base
Jacoby Ellsbury - OF - Boston Red Sox
March 8, 2013 - 10:00 PM ET

Jacoby Ellsbury went 1-for-3 with his first stolen base of the spring in a losing effort against the Twins on Friday.

The Red Sox only mustered five total hits in the game while being shutout by the Twins pitching staff. Ellsbury is off to a bit of a slow start this spring, (5-for-20), but appears to be completely healthy and over his shoulder injury from a season ago. While he's unlikely to approach the mammoth power numbers he posted in 2011, he's a good bet for 15 homers and 35 steals, with plus runs and batting average, making him a top tier outfielder in drafts.
