Giants and Posey in early stages of extension

According to Andrew Baggarly of CSN Sports, extension talks between Buster Posey and the Giants are still in their infancy stages.
The two sides have publicly stated mutual interest to work out a long-term deal, but there is certainly no urgency to completing the deal. There has been nothing to indicate that a deal is imminent, or that one will even get done during the 2013 season. There has been speculation that Posey could be seeking a seven-year deal worth $120 million.
