Webster takes pay cut, will be back with NYG
Corey Webster - DB - New York Giants
March 8, 2013 - 9:00 PM ET

Corey Webster has agreed to take a pay cut in order to remain with the Giants.

The move saves $4.5 million in salary cap room. Webster had all the makings of a true No. 1 corner as recently as midway through the 2011 season. Since then, his play has tailed off dramatically. It came to a head this past year, when he graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 109 corner out of 113 qualifying players. Webster will play out the final year of his deal for $4 million instead of the $7.25 million he was scheduled to earn.
