Trevor Cahill labored through 2 2/3 innings Wednesday, allowing just one run but giving up six hits and two walks in a loss to the Royals.
He struck out a pair. Cahill has struggled early on with a 5.79 ERA and 2.36 WHIP this spring, but he'll be fine. The righty should open the year as the Diamondbacks' No. 2 starter.
