Wisconsin RB Montee Ball ran a 4.57 forty-yard dash at the Badgers' Pro Day.
It's an improvement on Ball's 4.66 in Indianapolis. Although Ball displays plenty of juice and initial burst on tape, he is a bit of a one-speed runner, lacking an extra gear in the open field. Long speed is probably the most overrated trait for running backs, though, and we're confident Ball can develop into an adequate starter in the league. He'd best fit in a one-cut, zone-running scheme.
