Diamondbacks' Cody Ross (leg) out 2-3 weeks

Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson said Tuesday that Cody Ross will miss 2-3 weeks after an MRI revealed a lower left leg strain.
The injury originally cropped up Friday and caused Ross to make an early exit on Sunday. Now he'll get an extended period of rest to try to put it behind him. There's still enough time for him to get ready for the season, but he can't afford any setbacks. The Diamondbacks have Gerardo Parra as an alternative if he needs some extra time.
