Hultzen scratched Monday with strained hip

Danny Hultzen was scratched from a Cactus League outing Monday because of a mild right hip flexor strain.
Hultzen is expected to be shut down for about a week. The 23-year-old left-hander is not in the running for an Opening Day roster spot, so he can take his time recovering. He posted a 3.05 ERA and 136/75 K/BB ratio in 124 innings last season between Double-A and Triple-A.
