Pence wants extension before free agency

Hunter Pence told ESPN's Jim Bowden that he would prefer to sign a long-term deal with the Giants rather than testing out free agency.
Well, if the Giants offered him enough, we don't doubt that he'd prefer to go ahead and sign an extension now. There's been no indication that the two sides have engaged in any extension talks to this point, though. Perhaps that will change if Pence gets off to a hot start.
