Ervin Santana tossed two scoreless innings Friday against the Reds.
Making his spring debut, Santana allowed just one hit while walking one and striking out a pair. The 30-year-old right-hander posted a disappointing 5.16 ERA last season while serving up a league-leading 39 homers, but the Royals acquired him in hopes of a bounce back. It's a pretty big financial risk, as they are responsible for $12 million of his $13 million salary this season.
