Johan (shoulder) said to be 'making strides'

Mets manager Terry Collins said Monday that left-hander Johan Santana (shoulder) is "making strides."
Santana is being limited right now to flat-ground work, but those throwing sessions have gone swimmingly. "I told him already today: He looked better today than he did five days ago," Collins said. "I think the long-toss program is making strides." Santana is still aiming to start on Opening Day against the Padres.
