Brett Gardner went 3-for-3 as the Yankees' leadoff man Monday against the Orioles.
Gardner will probably hit ninth if Derek Jeter opens the season healthy, but that wouldn't necessarily be a permanent assignment. That the Yankees are now looking at him as a center fielder, rather than as a left fielder, gives his fantasy value a slight boost. He probably would have done more sitting against lefties as a left fielder.
