Nelson Cruz smashes homer in spring opener

Nelson Cruz smashed a two-run homer on Friday, as the Rangers and Royals played to a 5-5 tie.
His two-run blast off Yordano Ventura in the fourth inning was his only hit in two trips to the plate. Cruz is currently under MLB investigation for his alleged connection to an anti-aging clinic in Miami which distributed performance-enhancing drugs. He'll be under much scrutiny while that issue is being resolved, but as long as he continues to knock balls out of the yard, it should take some of the pressure off.
