Padres agree to deal with Clayton Richard

Padres and LHP Clayton Richard avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year $5.24 million contract.
Richard was the last arbitration eligible player remaining in the league, meaning that no cases will go to arbitration this season. He posted a respectable 3.99 ERA and 1.24 WHIP in 2012, and is a strong fantasy option when used for his home starts at Petco Park.
