Mets want to see Valdespin play the infield

After playing in the outfield during the Dominican Winter League, Jordany Valdespin's chances of making the Mets Opening Day roster could depend on his ability to play the infield.
The Mets know that he's capable of playing in the outfield, but want to see Valdespin prove he can handle multiple infield positions defensively as well. He has also had issues with immaturity and insubordination during his young career, which could hurt his chances of starting the season in the major leagues.
