Isringhausen hired as pitching coach at SIUE

Jason Isringhausen has been hired to be the pitching coach at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
Which also means that his playing career has come to an end. "Izzy" collected 300 saves over the course of his 16-year major league career while registering a solid 3.64 career ERA in over 1,000 innings. He pitched for the Mets, Athletics, Cardinals, Rays and Angels. "I enjoy the teaching aspect. I feel like I have a lot to offer," Isringhausen told the SIUE athletics website.
