Hart ahead of schedule from knee surgery

Corey Hart reiterated Wednesday that he is ahead of schedule following right knee surgery.
Hart underwent surgery on January 25 to repair a torn meniscus and smooth an imperfection in the joint surface. He was still using crutches Wednesday, but hopes to be cleared for more intense rehab after an MRI late next week. While he was originally expected to be out until late May, Hart is aiming to be back by the end of April. Mat Gamel will fill in at first base for now.
