Casey Janssen is scheduled to throw off a mound Thursday for the first time since shoulder surgery.
Janssen underwent right shoulder surgery in November in order to relieve discomfort in his AC joint. Still, he expects to be ready for the season and is expected to get the opportunity to keep his closer job over Sergio Santos, who is also making his way back from shoulder surgery.
