Mike Pelfrey (elbow) threw a bullpen session Monday and said he felt great.
Pelfrey had Tommy John surgery last April, but he's expected to be on schedule and throwing without restrictions this spring. The 29-year-old right-hander signed a one-year, $4 million contract with the Twins over the winter and should open the season in the starting rotation.
