Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports that the Diamondbacks have signed catcher Rod Barajas.
No word yet on the specifics of the deal. Barajas, 37, batted .206/.283/.343 with 11 homers and a .625 OPS last season with Pittsburgh and threw out just six percent (6-for-99) of attempted basestealers. He'll likely compete with Wil Nieves to be Miguel Montero's backup.
