Browns ILB D'Qwell Jackson's $3.6 million base salary for 2013 became fully guaranteed when he was kept on the roster as of Thursday.
The Browns could've gotten out of Jackson's deal by releasing him before Thursday, but they're counting on him to be an interior linchpin for their new 3-4 defense under Ray Horton. Although Jackson has struggled in the 3-4 before, his game is not entirely dissimilar from Cardinals ILB Daryl Washington's. Washington emerged as a high-impact player in Horton's scheme with Arizona.
