Dillon Gee (shoulder) believes his blood clot issues are mostly behind him.
Gee still gets numbness in his fingers in cold weather, but he was mostly given a clean bill of health when he visited his doctor last week in St. Louis. "I had a couple of more tests and they said I'm good to go," said Gee. "Everything was normal." Gee expects no recurrence of the issue going forward and has a nitroglycerine cream to apply to his fingers just in case. The 26-year-old right-hander had a 4.10 ERA and 97/29 K/BB ratio over 109 2/3 innings last season and is expected to open the season in the Mets' rotation.
