Astros acquired 1B/DH Chris Carter from the Athletics in a five-player trade.
Carter swings and misses a lot, but he belted 16 homers over just 260 plate appearances last season in Oakland. He will take over as the starting DH with the Astros, who plan to pair him with first base prospect Jonathan Singleton in the middle of the order eventually. Though he'll be in a woeful lineup, this move is certainly good for his fantasy potential, as he'll now play every day and moves to a hitter-friendly park.
