Marlins close to one-year deal with Valverde

According to Enrique Rojas of ESPN Deportes, the Marlins are nearing a one-year deal with Jose Valverde.
Valverde will likely operate in a setup role for Miami in front of closer Steve Cishek. The 34-year-old right-hander posted a 3.78 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 48/27 K/BB ratio in 69 innings last season for the Tigers. He probably won't be worth grabbing in standard fantasy drafts this spring.
