Miguel Olivo close to signing on with Reds

Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports that the Reds are close to signing Miguel Olivo.
Heyman says Olivo also received interest from the Phillies, Astros and Dodgers, but the Reds are "finalizing" a deal for the catcher. With Olivo on board, that presumably means Devin Mesoraco will begin the season at Triple-A. Olivo, 34, has some pop but batted just .222/.239/.381 with 12 home runs and a .620 OPS in 87 games with the Mariners this past season.
