Kalish to have shoulder surgery next week

Ian Browne of MLB.com reports that Ryan Kalish surgery on his right shoulder performed by Dr. Lewis Yocum next week.
Kalish was expected to compete for a spot on the Red Sox Opening Day roster, but will now be sidelined for the beginning of the season. It's another tough break for a once very promising prospect, who hasn't been able to stay on the field. The Sox signed Ryan Sweeney to a minor league deal on Friday to provide additional depth in the outfield.
