Jim Johnson requested $7.1 million and was offered $5.7 million from the Orioles when arbitration figures were exchanged Friday.
Johnson made just $2.625 million last season, but he's poised to get a big raise after posting a 2.49 ERA while leading the majors with 51 saves. The 29-year-old right-hander was a Super Two player, so while this is his third year of arbitration, he reamins under team control through 2014.
