Bailey files for $5.8 million in arbitration

Homer Bailey requested $5.8 million and was offered $4.75 million by the Reds when arbitration figures were exchanged Friday.
Bailey, who is arbitration-eligible for the second time, earned $2.4 million last season while posting a 3.68 ERA and 168/52 K/BB ratio over 208 innings. This would be an ideal time for the two sides to continue talks about a contract extension.
