Madson (elbow) throws off mound, feels good

Ryan Madson (elbow) threw off a mound for the first time Monday and reported no abnormal pain or discomfort.
"He's on or ahead of schedule," Angels GM Jerry Dipoto told the Orange County Register. "We're encouraged." Madson is on his way back from Tommy John elbow surgery. If he's ready to rock on Opening Day, he will open the season as the Angels' primary closer.
