Nats sign LHP Mann to minors deal

National signed LHP Brandon Mann to a minor league contract with a spring training invite.
Mann is back in the United States after spending the past two seasons with the Yokohama Bay Stars of Japan's Central League, where he went 3-9 with a 4.27 ERA in 28 appearances. The 28-year-old southpaw was drafted by the Rays in the 27th round of the 2002 and has never played in the majors. He figures to serve as minor league depth.
