Giants haven't given up on keeping Lincecum

Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports that the Giants haven't given up on the idea of keeping Tim Lincecum long-term.
In fact, Schulman hears that the prospect of re-signing Lincecum as a free agent next winter played into some budgetary decisions that the Giants made this offseason. Of course, their interest in keeping him could hinge on how he bounces back from his 5.18 ERA last season, but a resurgence could mean big money on the open market.
