Napoli in ongoing negotiations with Red Sox

Red Sox general manager Ben Cherington indicated on Friday that negotiations with Mike Napoli are ongoing.
The two sides are still trying to finalize a deal that was agreed upon in early December, before a physical revealed a problem with Napoli's hip. It seems likely that the two sides will eventually come to an agreement, though it may be a to a shorter-term contract.
