Giants haven't approached Posey on extension
Buster Posey - C - San Francisco Giants

According to Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle, the Giants have yet to begin contract discussions with Buster Posey.

Posey is arbitration-eligible for the first time this winter, and the Giants could look to sign him to a long-term extension. Coming off an MVP season, Schulman suggests that a good starting point in talks would be the $53.5 million given to Tim Lincecum during his four-years of arbitration eligibility. ESPN's Buster Olney believes Posey could get a "Joey Votto-type" extension.
