Morton (elbow) hopes to throw off mound soon

Charlie Morton (elbow) hopes to throw off a mound by late January or early February.
Morton is making his way back from Tommy John surgery last June. The 29-year-old right-hander is currently a doing long-toss program and last week started throwing on back-to-back days with an off day in between. He's not expected to return until the second half of 2013.
