The Browns reportedly interviewed Penn State's Bill O'Brien for their head coaching job this week.

The Browns also met with Syracuse coach Doug Marrone on Thursday and ex-Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt on Wednesday. Although Cleveland is aggressively pursuing Oregon coach Chip Kelly, the Sideline View's Adam Caplan hears that O'Brien is "definitely on their radar" and "they like him a lot." He's viewed as the top fallback plan if the Browns swing-and-miss on Kelly. Caplan "senses" that O'Brien is probably not going to leave Happy Valley, but it's "not a lock." He's on the radar of the Eagles, Chargers, and Cardinals as well.
