Monty Williams is reportedly "considering bumping up" Eric Gordon's minutes for Saturday's game against Dallas, but there could be "more restrictions ahead."
While the report states that Williams is considering bumping Gordon's minutes up, the team "may choose" to have him sit out "occasional games, especially the second game of back-to-back sets." Gordon sat out Wednesday's game as part of a plan to rest him on the second half of back-to-backs, but the Hornets don't have another back-to-back until Jan. 15-16. Gordon hasn't reported issues with his right knee beyond some normal soreness, and says that "I'm looking forward to playing for the rest of the year." There are still no guarantees given that he has played just 11 games since the start of last season, but so far all signs are good. Gordon is averaging 17.5 points, 5.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.0 3s in 24 minutes through his first two games.
