Raul Ibanez finalizes agreement with Mariners

Mariners signed OF/DH Raul Ibanez to a one-year, $2.75 million contract.
He could earn an additional $1.25 million in performance-based incentives. The 40-year-old is expected to function as a part-time player between both corner outfield spots, designated hitter and even first base. He still offers some punch against right-handed pitching, but he'll likely miss the short porch at Yankee Stadium.
