Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News reports that the Yankees are close to finalizing a two-year deal with Ichiro Suzuki worth $12-13 million.
It's the same figure that CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reported earlier. Feinsand says the two sides are "putting the finishing touches on the deal," so it sounds like it could be finished up Thursday night. It's a little surprising Ichiro was able to get two years, though that's what the Yanks had to do to keep him after the Phillies reportedly offered a two-year, $14 million pact.
