Giants ink Andres Torres to one-year contract

CSN Bay Area's Andrew Baggarly reports that the Giants have reached a one-year agreement with Andres Torres.
CBS Sports' Jon Heyman says it's worth $2 million. Torres was non-tendered by the Mets last month after batting just .230/.327/.337 across 434 plate appearances in 2012. The 34-year-old will battle Gregor Blanco for playing time in left field out in San Francisco and can serve as a backup at the other two outfield spots.
